YAY, PARTY TIME – Part 5

Today I decided to make a book mark which again can accompany the exercise book we made on day one.

Measurements:

  • 2″ x 9 1/2″ ( but the lenght can be as long as you like)

I started by stamping my image at the bottom of the card, this is because we will then score at 2″ (which should be the top of the image), you then fold so the image becomes the top.

The image then needs to be cut through the big shot. As per the picture above I don’t cover the whole image with the plates, You need to keep the very top of the image uncovered so it does’t cut the whole image out.

You may need to fussy cut the top section to get the fold you require.

I used the Detailed Trio to create a rounded edge on the corners as well as the fancy edging on the bottom of the bookmark as shown in the photo below.

The child will then stamp the rest of the book mark and then colour.

Really the only tricky part is the cut, so I will line up the image for the child, although I will still get them to crank the handle!
