YAY, PARTY TIME – Part 4

I just love this little puzzle! I think the kids are going to have so much fun with it, what with the colouring and re-building.

As the jigsaw needs to be sturdy, I glued together 2 pieces of extra think Whisper White card stock, as per the photo below, you really need a good coverage of glue as you don’t want the card to separate when it is cut into pieces!

Once glued together, the images will be stamped and then coloured by the child.

The image can then be run through the die cutting machine. This will leave a scrap edge as per the photo below. I decided that this would actually be a good base to actually hold the jigsaw although for the “real” event I will increase the size.

With this scrap edge, I attached to another base layer to create a frame/ base as per the photo below:

Measurements:

  • Jigsaw with no base: Whisper White Jigsaw 3 5/8″ x 3 5/8″
  • Jigsaw with a good border 4″ x4″
  • Base 4″ x4″

The frame now helps to keep the jigsaw in place and is a great guide for the younger child.

I can’t believe I have never used my Puzzle Pieces Dies before! I think another Puzzle project is on the cards 🙂

Please do let me know what you think of this series and if you decide to make any of the project, please send me a photo x

Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle, have a super day!
