Good morning, I can’t believe I am sat in my garden on this beautiful spring morning thinking about Christmas!

This is definitely not the weather I am used to when preparing my Christmas cards, even living in Doha, Qatar for the 7 years before I came here hasn’t prepared me for this stunning morning!
But Christmas IS fast approaching and so above is a card I prepared to help focus the mind lol.
I hope you like it.
Here’s how I made it.
I made the base from Old Olive Cardstock, using my usually measurements – 5 1/2 x 8 1/4 ( the width of an A4 sheet) then scored at 4 1/8″ ( half way)
Using Wrapped in Plaid DSP I cut the trees using the Pine Tree Punch, I do love the punches as they are so easy to line up, quick press and you are done!
I also used the same DSP as a part backing on the bottom half of the card ( 5 1/4″ x 2 1/8′ ) and also for the backing of the sentiment.
I decided to “decorate” 2 of the tress using the Old Olive Linen Thread ( this is currently on sale in the clearance rack! ) The third tree I applied a layer of Shimmery Crystal Effects as you can see in the photo below.

For the sentiment, after I had cut out the Nested shape, it leaves an impression on the scrap card, I stamped the sentiment “O Christmas Tree” onto this scrap and then Using the straight line die from the Stitched Nested labels I ran this through the big shot and Fussy cut out the label as per the pictures below.

I assembled the card and added some Silver foil stars that I cut out using the So Many Stars Die set.
