PEACE AT CHRISTMAS

Peace at Christmas, wouldn’t that be wonderful?

I am so looking forward to Christmas, even more so than usual as my daughter is coming to visit! That means lots and lots of crafting! Even though I have so many Stampin’ Up products, I know for a fact she is already buying me more supplies! We do have similar tastes but as she is a lot more experienced than I am, she will see a set that I would overlook and then makes some amazing projects with that set. She is so fun to work with and such an inspiration!

I am also hoping that we host a craft class together. I will send out the details once I can confirm a date, so make sure you sign up for my newsletter !

I believe this card is quite simple to make but it does involve the use of a heat gun for the embossing.

I got the inspiration from Friday’s post ‘The world needs more of you’ for the colour combination.

The card stock is Blushing Bride (BB) and Very Vanilla (VV).

Measurements:

  • Base: (VV) – 5 1/2″ x 4 1/8″
  • First Layer: (BB) 5 1/4″ x 3 7/8″
  • Top Layer: (VV) 5 x 3 5/8′

I started by stamping the tiny stars from the So Many Stars stamp set from the bottom left corner into the top right corner in the matching BB ink. I also stamped the sentiment directly into the bottom right hand corner.

I used a curvy circle from the Layering Circles Die set

I then used Versamark Ink to stamp the same stars onto the circle, to which I added the silver embossing powder.

Using the heat gun to finish the emboss, this gives the raised, textured effect as per the photo below.

Also with the Versamark ink I stamped the main star and again added silver to emboss with the heat gun. I cut out the VV vanilla star using the Dies.

Finally I assembled the finished card.

Quite a simple card again but very effective. I hope you like it. If you CASE I would love to see your version.

Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle, have a super day!

Love Lynda x
