PLENTY OF CHEER

In my previous post “Beautiful Moments and Happy Memories” I shared the instructions on how to assemble the base card and Belt, for this post I will share the instruction for the decoration of the Mossy Meadow card.

Measurements:

  • Base: Mossy Meadow – 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
  • 2 x First Layer /back layer : Whisper White (WW) 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • DSP 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Belt: Mossy Meadow – 1 1/4″ x 8 5/8″
  • Belt DSP: – 1″ x 8 1/2″

I stamped a tree from the “Most Wonderful Time” stamp set using Mossy Meadow Ink pad.

AsI currently don’t have the co-ordinating Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend, I first used Bronze on parts of the tree ( If you do have this colour you can just use the light and dark to shade the tree and skip the colouring steps below)

Then I went over the bronze with Dark Old olive to blend the two colours.

I then continued using both light and Old Olive until I was happy with the colour blends. I think I achieved the mix of colours I wanted.

My colouring did bleed a little but this wasn’t an issue as I knew I would be fussy cutting the tree, which will eliminate those errors.

I then stamped the sentiment on the inner piece of cardstock

I also stamped the outer Whisper White card stock too. ( this isn’t really needed but I thought I might write my greeting on the back rather than inside)

Once the Belt was assembled and the tree was cut out. I though the tree actually needed something to rest on, so I picked up the Stitched Shapes dies and chose a circle. I used my Wink of Stella to add some shimmer around the outside border. and then attached the tree.

Shimmery Crystal Effects were added after I had assembled the card. Along with a small star from the “Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements” pack.

So which card do you prefer? The Night of Navy or the Mossy Meadow?

Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle, have a super day! I actually love them both lol
