Dancing in a Summer Wonderland

Today’s card was inspired by Ronan Keating’s Christmas song ” Strolling through a Summer Wonderland

What a way to spend Christmas! Dancing in the waves on a beautiful sunny day.

I started by using a block and placing it onto an ink pad, then adding water with an aqua pen.

I placed the wet side of the block directly onto my cardstock, then moved the block to ensure an uneven coverage.

For the yellow of the sun, I used a damp sponge and splodged all over the top, into the right hand corner and then part way down the right hand side but just do the area you are happy with.

For the blue of the sky, I removed the excess of blue from the aqua painter before brushing the cardstock horizontially into the bare spare. I also decided that I wanted the blue to reach into the sun.

Next I stamped a sentiment, fussy cut out and glued directly onto the cardstock.

I stamped my dacing lady, coloured, fussy cut the image and then using cut up dimentionals I attched her to the card.

When I started to write this tutorial, I decided that the water needed to be rippled by her feet, so I used basic black to draw the shaded area, I wish I had used a darker blue instead. What do you think? Would you use blue or black or even go without?

For the inside I used Pineapple punch ink, to create the stars to make a summer evening.

Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle, have a super day!
