Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?
I know many people do, but I also know it can be a difficult day for those on their own, so I decided to I would make a card without all of the hearts and flowers, a card that I could give to anyone to cheer their day on what can be one of the loneliest days of the year.
Although it is a quite simple card, there is a bit of time involved due to the cutting and colouring.
I started by first stamping my animal images, then using Stampin’ Blends, I coloured the images.
As the Giraffe doesn’t have a body, I stamped around him with two different coloured leaves, so that his body would appear to be hidden.
To give even more depth to the picture, I then used my Big Shot to Die cut even more leaves.
I used dimensionals for the label, again to add depth. As you will see in the picture above, I made the leaves climb up the edges of the label by gluing the top sections onto the label.
If your partner is not into hearts and flowers, this wild card is perfect!
If you have a friend who will not be celebrating, let them know how much you think about them this Valentines, surely Valentines is truly a day for showing your love to everyone not just your “Life” ( or future ) partner.
Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle and have a super stamping day!
