Star of Cheer – LOVE IT, CUT IT, USE IT! DESIGNER PAPER SERIES (DSP) Ideas 6

Time to use the saved star from Idea 4. I think there is just the right amount of DSP to make the card POP! Adding the second Shimmery Star really makes the card sparkle too.

Measurements:

  • Base: Very Vanilla 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4 scored at 4 1/8″ and 4.1/16 or 14cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm and 5.25cm
  • Layer 1: Night of Navy 5 1/4″ x 1 7/8″ or 13.3cm x 4.8cm

As this is such a simple to make card, I though the fancy fold would make it even more interesting.

I started by using the tiny bundle of stars and stamping from the bottom left hand corner, all the way through the centre of the card to reach the top right hand corner.

On the base card I opened up the card and stamped my sentiment at the bottom of the card, so that once the card was opened and the fold was in place, this sentiment would be visible.

As the first star was already cut, I cut out the second sparkly star using the same second largest star die, I also cut out 3 of the smallest stars.

I glued the Sparkly star directly onto layer 1, then used dimensionals to attach the second star.

I added part cut dimensionals to 2 of the mini stars and then folded the card so I could decide where those 2 stars needed to be placed. These stars are what keeps fold in place.

I added multipurpose glue to the bottom half of layer 1 only ( the top half is not attached to the base.

The third star was also glued directly onto the inner base, just below the sentiment.

Another simple but stunning card.

Here is the card from an angle so you can really see how the card stands.

Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle and have a super stamping day!
