Merry Christmas From Across The Miles

I probably shouldn’t be sharing this card with you as I will be sending this to some of my family and friends back in the UK but I just think it is so cute, I couldn’t resist hearing what you think of it x

The Sending Smiles Sentiment is no longer available to purchase but if you attend one of my classes you can always use it! Otherwise if you would like to CASE this card, just replace the sentiment with another saying, I am sure it will work just as well.

Measurements:

  • Card Base: Very Vanilla 5 1/2″ x 4 1/8″ or 14cm x 10.5cm
  • Layer 1: Blueberry Bushel 5 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ or 13.3cm x 9.8cm

I started by Stamping my Kangaroo in in Soft suede, then using Stampin’ Blends, I coloured the image. I like to start with the Bronze pen for the darker and shaded parts then, blend with the first the dark crumb cake then finally finish with the light crumb cake until I am happy with the colours.

I then added the Snowball Puff Paint to the bottom of the Kangaroo but the colour bled so I then added the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter to hide the “dirty snow” lol. I think it worked well? Check the photo above and let me know.

Before attaching the image using Dimentionals to the top layer, I stamped my Merry Christmas in Versa Mark Ink, added Copper Embossing Powder and used my heat gun to seal the sentiment as per above.

For the Santa Hat, I stamped, Die Cut then used a Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the rim and ball.

I used Pretty Peacock ink to stmap the tree onto Pretty Peack cardstock, which I fussy Cut, before using Dimentionals to attach to the base.

I also added the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter randomly to the tree.

Using Blueberry Bushel and Real Red ink I stamped the boxes and using the matching dies cut out the shapes and again attached to the card using Dimentionals. For the middle box I did a double layer of Dimensonals so that it stands out more can you tell? See photo below.

After stamping my “Smiles” sentiment, I used a die to first cut out the sentiment and then to cut out the same shape in the Copper cardstock. This Copper piece I cut down the middle so that I could create an overlap once glued directly onto the top layer.

I added A Star to the top of the tree to finish.

I hope you like it as much as I do. Please leave your comments below x

Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle, have a super day!

Love Lynda x
