I’m loving the Lovely Lily stamp sets and dies, even better that the set came FREE with my $180 qualifying spend! Find out more about this offer HERE
I started by placing a scrap piece of card over one side of my whisper white cardstock.
Then using the “ripple” stamp, I inked with Pacific Point and then stamped 4 times, moving downwards each time before re-inking and stamping another 4 times. I continued this pattern until the first half of the card was complete.
I then moved the pieces of scrap to the other side of the card and repeated the process although I started the pattern at a different point so that each side of the card was a different shade.
I wanted to cover the centre so I used a piece of Pacific Point cardstock. I also stamped the same pattern again, still only inking the pad after 4 stamps.
Very simple but I do think the effect is lovely and very calming. The different shades of blue is so effective.
Next I added some pool party thread, this had been in the clearance rack until very recently, I just checked today and unfortunately it is no longer available but I am sure the card will look good without or with a plain white.
Using the layering Circle dies, I first cut out the scalloped edge circle in Pool party and the a plain circle in Pacific Point.
Before adhering the plain circle with Multi purpose glue, I added a Wink Of Stella to the scalloped edge, to give a sparkle to the card.
I also continued the pattern onto the Pacific point circle.
I added Pool Party as a base layer. At this point I was just going to adhere directly onto the card base but I decided to add another layer of Pacific Point to really bring the card together.
The sentiment is from the Celebrate with Cake stamp set, which I hand cut and attached with dimensionals.
I have two male birthday’s in February, so now I need to decide who receives this card, my brother or my nephew, decisions, decisions lol
Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle and have a super stamping day!
