There are many good reasons why being a Stampin’ Up demonstrator is good.
One of my favourite reasons is that fellow demonstrators chat on a dedicated Facebook page, we share our highs and low’s of crafting along with tips and inspirations for our individual businesses.
It is a great place for learning but more importantly for me, it is a great place to make new friends.
Whilst chatting the other night, I discovered that a fellow crafter was due to go into hospital for knee replacement surgery.
Well what better reason to go to my room and craft!
When in pain, having something bright and cheery to look at, might just help to make you smile! It’s worth the cost of a stamp to try isn’t it lol
I started by stamping in Highland heather and then Pineapple punch directly onto my cardstock to create the two different patterns.
I then stamped in Bermuda Bay onto a scrap piece of card my sentiment and the same pattern that I used for the Pineapple punch, to try and bring co-ordination to the card.
As I wanted a frame for my sentiment. I die cut the shape I needed but then had to remove the centre bit by fussing cutting the middle section and just leaving the edge:
The outer section left was perfect for my sentiment. Before gluing I trimmed the card to ensure that no white would be seen below the detailed frame.
I die cut my other shapes and glued directly onto the cardstock.
I then added a circle, hearts and rhinestones, “painting” the hearts with a ‘Wink of Stella”
Here is a close up of the finished card complete with Rhinestones! The first picture is missing those, did you notice? lol
I really hope my Stampin’ friend recovers quickly and that my card brightens her day x
Thanks for reading Creative Fraggle, have a super day!
Love Lynda x
