ANIMAL OUTING CARDS

http://createwithcayleigh.com/ had told me about a technique were you colour in your stamping block, spritz with water and then stamp directly onto the card stock to create a background. After seeing some posts on Pinterest using the Animal Outing with this technique I decided to give this a go.

As I am currently travelling around the Middle East, I have limited craft tools with me and one thing I didn’t have was my spritzer ( a spritzer is and empty bottle which you fill with water or rubbing alcohol and any colour of Classic Stampin’ Ink, then mix and spritz) so after playing about for a while trying to add small drops of water, the effect I just didn’t like so I gave up and thought “hey why do I need to add water?”

Colour directly onto the stamp

Press the coloured stamp onto the card stock, I like to move the block from side to side slightly to create a smudged effect.

Finished Effect

I had pre-cut out the animals using my Big Shot and Animal Friends Dies. Coloured using the Stampin’ Blends, these are fantastic pens that easily create shading.

I hope you like the cards, here they are close up:

As you can see I stamped a sentiment directly onto the card stock in the co-ordinating colours and added a few sequins to finish the card.
