I count myself very lucky as I am so blessed to have several amazing ladies in my life that really are true friends!
I know that even though I don’t get to see them very often, if I need them they would more mountains to be there for me x
These ladies sometimes don’t even realise how even the smallest gesture can make such a difference to me and my day. A little WhatsApp message to see how I am, a word of encouragement on my Facebook page, a shared memory while we are talking on the phone, so many little things that they do to make me feel so grateful, loved and special.
With all of this in mind, I made this card to let them know just how much they mean to me!
Measurements:
- Base: Whisper White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4 scored at 4 1/8″ or 14cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm
- Layer 1 Pool Party 5 3/8″ x 4″ or 13.6cm x 10.2cm
- Layer 2 Whisper White 5 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ or 13.3cm x 9.8cm
Once I had stamped the main image in Soft Suede, I then stamped the “sprinkles” in the 3 colours.
I decided that Calypso Coral would be my main colour for this card so I stamped the first sentiment on the front and the matching sentiment on the inside of the card in this colour.
On the inside of the card I also stamped the main image but this time in the Pineapple Punch to co-ordinate with the front sprinkles.
Next I used only one of the butterflies from the first of the large cluster of butterflies.
As you will see from the photo above, there was excess card on the wing so I used my Snips (extra sharp precision scissors) to “fussy cut the edge.
I then used the second of the main dies to cut the more detailed co-ordinating butterfly, this time in Calpso Coral.
Once the shape was fussy cut, I used the sprinkle satmp again to add more detail.
I used Multi-purpose glue to stick both Butterflies dirctly on to the top layer but for the second butterfly, I only put glue down the centre of teh body so the wings can “fly”
As you can see I also added rhinestone to finish the effect.
